JIM HERRMANN
International Ambassador of the Alliance
Jim Herrmann is a 10th Dan in Yabe Jiujitsu (founded by Yae Kichi Yabe). His line of instruction traces back to Master Seisu Quan Setsu. It isn’t clear if Master Quan Setsu was a first-generation student of the founder, but he started the Yang Ki Yin Jiujitsu Assocation International. Professor M.A. Gowdey was a member and a direct student of Setsu; Mr. Herrmann trained under Prof. Gowdey with Charly Hilton. Masters Hermann and Hilton ultimately crafted Jym Cha Ryu. Mr. Herrmann also studied under Dan Inosanto and played a role in a film featuring Kosugi Sho. “I spent 10 years training/teaching Pekiti Tirsia Kali under GM Leo Gaje. I ranked under Laken Guro and became very proficient in bladed weapons.” He was a feared full contact stick fighter and the lead stunt man in the move, "Pray for Death" starring Sho Kosugi.
